What did you Catch Today?

I wish you would have told me you were going to Upper Woods. I'd have bothered you there. That is where the largest ever Punkinseeds are. Suspended at 25--30'.
Last minute thing but it was pretty hard to hold a location the wind picked up as the morning went on.

I can be spontaneous. Your bad. I like fishing with yins as you don’t out fish me. Ha!

Once I turn the car north to poconos it’s easy to keep going.

With CR the bait stays aloft a bit longer and rarely falls deep in weeds. Sometimes I clean the egg but since the water is shallow I only need 1/32-1/16th ounce egg. Very tiny.
But that may be why I don’t catch as many bass. The bait isn’t stirring the pot. This past weekend I had the issue of water clarity. Although lightly copper stained the bottom was plainly visible everywhere.

Insomnia ruined my early AM plans. Convinced myself to go out at noon. Hot water a little after 1. Didn’t get a real chance until I waded away from people. Not super crowded but being a part of the hatcheries it’s tough getting time alone on the creek there.

Super low but cold water from springs. Wasn’t feeling it and lost a decent 3lbs ish 15” who broke my 4lbs leader. Lots of snags with water. Found a good fish in a harder access channel between two popular runs. Guess no one walks back there.

25” and 8 lbs.

Great night on the lake with my son, Flyguy on this site. We broke our personal record with 11 walleyes in the boat tonight. No big ones but several about 5 pounds. Also 2 stripers, both small but fun anyway. We fished from about 8 til 12:15. Bite was steady from 20 minutes before dark til we quit. Ended up keeping one that was bleeding pretty bad.

Wow! Nice job!!

FYI, I moved this to the what did you catch today thread. You had posted it in the what did you buy today thread…..I didn’t want people thinking you stopped at the grocery store before you went fishing and bought a bunch of fish. Lol.

I didn’t do good and I didn’t do bad. I didn’t realize there were white perch in that lake. I caught one on MelvinP’s worm rig and threw it back thinking it must be a juvenile hybrid. When I caught a second one I realized what they were. I like to eat white perch. Then I found a chunky little channel and I kept them both. 302BCBD9-FCC7-4474-B64F-C29E2F1D686F.jpeg302BCBD9-FCC7-4474-B64F-C29E2F1D686F.jpeg516BDC54-081A-49B8-98DE-2E8D658ADC77.jpeg7D60422D-3C76-4D79-B2FC-74D9F24ECD61.jpeg
