What did you Catch Today?

I got rod leashes on everything even on my ffinder
I thought that at first. I used to leash everything in the red Pelican. Once I moved up to the Ride it didn't seem to be necessary anymore, but I still put pad eye next to all of my flush mounts.

I think it would have been bad here though. If the 2nd lost rod had been leashed it might have tied me to the tree. In moving water like that it could have been another spill and that would have been a bad place for it.

Nasty strainers, be thankful you didn't get a foot caught underwater and have something worse happen.
Yeah, these were trees just touching the water. The ones after the dam are right in line with the chute, which seems like they should be trimmed back. I did a lot of hard paddling to avoid real lay downs and strainers. I may be dumb, but I ain't stupid ;)

Still that's a memorable Pumpkinseed...I was at F.E.W. dam and the bass were busy...caught many. Not one Theiv'in Gill. One Small Crapster and3 dink perch. 2" and 3" Keiteck tipped with little chunk of worm.

I caught this boat at Memorial Lake yesterday. I think it's too small. Probably should throw it back. What's the legal length for drift boats? ;)

Due to changes in availability Don and I dropped Sunday and met at Memorial yesterday morning. It was a slow day for esteemed and august fishing experts such as ourselves. Befitting his advanced age, um, I mean advanced experience, Don did better than I did. In addition to the selection below I witnessed him catch several sunfish/bluegills, bass, and a yellow perch.

For my part, I caught a number of amazingly small sunfish/bluegills

We are thinking once it cools off a little more the pickerel should turn on, and maybe next time we will get Don some eaters.

Please understand that I could have caught all Whompers Like I did after he left But I didn't want to embarrass the young feller. After you left I went out to the middle of the lake where the Crappy bite turned on briefly for a couple boats around me. They were sunfish sized. I caught no crappy but another Bass and two nice sized gills. Lastly along with two dink perch I caught an extremely sharp looking Pumkinseed...only 6-7" but very worthwhile looking at.
Thanks TC. Next time It'll be Crappy and Perch at Gouldsboro where I have them all tied off to a stump for ya.
