I'm heading to fish the Loyalsock for 4 days last week of March, the DHALO section known as Sandy Bottom. I haven't been out that way for years, mostly wondering what flies to use. I'm thinking streamers, nymphs.
Thanks, I saw that same hatch chart, nothing much to go with. The Mayflies won't be around yet. I forgot about BWO's thanks for the reminder, I've hit hatches of them in January & February, might be some around along with their nymphs.
Streamers would probably work. Anything that resembles a crayfish too. I haven't fly fished the sock in a few years, but crawfish patterns get murdered on spinning gear. They'll be some fresh stockers then too, so a bright egg pattern could work also. They seem to go for that early on pine Creek for me.
