I guess I never got back to Solitario's book review here. Do you think summer Esox varieties are worth pursuing? It seems like Pickerel are happy to bite in summer but are Musky and Northern around or do they go deep and sleep with the Lakers?

I found it can really slow down in the summer and I’m mean all fishing. They can hide in the sun but I think they go to colder waters. Best time to start fishing for a lot of things in the summer is when the sun starts to set.

When it gets hot I go for fish that can handle it better.
