Pitching or Flipping

A-5 has often been heard praising the flipping technique. I would like to know how many of you use the term flipping when you are actually pitching. I hope to use these techniques in the next few months. What is your favorite main line and leader...if you use a leader. I heard to use braid near weeds and floro or mono near wood.

I honestly still don’t know what both are. I call it casting and whatever it takes to get the bait or lure in the right spot.

I felt like that YouTube was a nice presentation. Nothing that the Fiver couldn’t do if he tried enough.

Don I’ve watched vids where they explain it and will forget as soon as I’m done watching. When I’m on the waters like I said it’s just casting out. As my cast will consist of all sorts of cast including pitching and flipping all depends on the spots.

I’ll do a lot of flipping when trout fishing.
I’ll do some pitching with Muskie lures but I don’t grab the lure as I don’t want treble hooks in me it’s all natural flowing for me.

I don’t use those terms though.

As for braid around wood areas I wouldn’t worry to much.
