What did you Catch Today?

I agree. There were plenty of them too. Saw one around 10" and solid but extra spooky. No size to them but seeing their colors and knowing they aren't stocked makes it a nice change of pace.

Don't mind the awkward grip but this was 1 of 2 on Sat. I hit the Delaware Water Gap. The water was a bit muddy. I worked for 5 hours and got TWO Pickerel for my effort. (Both were 20+"). That is still a grind.

I went to steal fishes from Grem's Big Pond......Mauch Chunk Lake. I was jigging and so it was a great day to use my newly rebuild antique reels. I did well: 14 8-9.5" Gills, One 13" Perch and a smallish 12-13" LMB. Used Crawlers and also Mealies. These were caught on the bottom at 35+/-'

Stopped at Goldsboro and it was a giant weed bed up front. I stopped at Tobyhanna state park and it wasn't much better. Another slow day with 3 Pickerel and this bass. Grinding through weeds these days.

Wow that’s a nice bass who would ever go to Goldsboro? You got to come over to gremcat country. Seriously I did very well today at Mauch chunk. I caught a bunch of bass a good number of bluegills and a very nice perch. All in deep water on the bottom. Wasn’t it a nice day? I’m still out here.

Funny, never fished MC lake, can’t get past the creek. I’d rather catch 15-18” trout there in the spring with the occasional 20” mixed in than fish almost anywhere else in the world. Says a lot about that little slice of heaven. Even prefer it to AK! This spring was a huge let down. No water and fish where dumbies. Maybe one semi good challenging day there. Usually I hit it hard for 2-3 weeks in the spring. First year it just didn’t work out for me. Never fished a lake in PA I don’t think.

If I could buy and privatize about 1/8th mile, if we are dreaming keep it flowing like early spring all season, I’d never leave lol

A representative sample from the Swattie yesterday. There were also some chubs and fallfish. I had some issues getting my phone camera to work through the plastic waterproof container.
