What reels do you have

Float fishing is for steelhead October to May. 13’ rods and pins. Bottom bouncing. All year all seasons.

Fly rod guys in NY are mostly known as snaggers.
Oh boy now you did you mean flossers flossers I say lol those folks with the 6 ft heavy action ugly stick with a fly reel loaded with 30 pound test aren’t fly fishing

Just got here;). Trout fishing I use UL Mitchell's, Fluke Mitchell 406 and Shimano Nasci 4000.

Just got here;). Trout fishing I use UL Mitchell's, Fluke Mitchell 406 and Shimano Nasci 4000.
The lightest ultra-light I've ever used is the Shimano UL. I don't spin fish for trout anymore but that reel is on my UL set up for ice fishing for panfish, it's super light and dependable.

I'm partial to Quantum Smoke. I have them for trout and bass set ups. I also use Quantum for salt water. I also have a few Shimanos in the mix. Once I find something I like I just stick with it.
