Lol no lost flies for me today! So success! Lol

Found some good fish to move on streamers in the light rain this morning!

Took a vacation day and super happy I did. Got 4 fish to the net pushing the 20” mark. When wild browns get this size they really put up a fight!

Nymphed up a decent one today!

Found me a piggy today!

They can be tough to tie. Send me a picture and I’ll tie you up some if you need.

No. Really won’t stand out correctly. I use either wire or heavy mono and tie it in.

These are the original variations I usually tie of these streamers. To top is black polar ice fiber and the bottom is emerald green.(hard to see in the pic) These flys have produced some killer fish all across the state for me.

Well because then you don’t really have the movement you want.

It’s rare I use flys that small. My nymphs are ususlky 14-18

They are size 2 hooks. The fly is about 4” total. Those are lead dumbbell eyes so it drops pretty quick

This fish ate a size 22 zebra midge. Came in at 23”. I believe this was my first 20”+ fish on a size 20 or smaller fly!

I have. Do well in the spring when the trout that hatched the year before are like 4” long. Some big browns really love them.
