Guess it depends on forage and if they get clubbed by a few hungry line tossers. Those in my pics are in a prime spot where local waters produce the records. Buggs Island aka Kerr lake and James river. Lots of forage and they eat a lot.

I’m not so sure stocking is a good thing honestly. If there aren’t active populations in those waters to some degree you just introduced a fish that preys on everything, reaches extreme sizes(biggest I’ve seen was 100 lbs), and hangs in massive schools. If forage isn’t there, all your other sport fish will decline quick I bet.

That’s what I was wondering is how things are going to play out with these stocking but supposedly they are already stocked in the Ohio river I believe by West Virginia.
