Trying to detach the hook from my popper tried a wire shank but I think it would be too heavy no less the bending process so I started this but no place to put the tail or legs so I’m going to drill a hole through the popper body and use a straw from a spray can and try to make some kind of tube popper this should give me a platform for a tail and prevent line twist while casting which really is terrible on your leader post more when I remember to bring home the drill and straw

Poppin good mess there Unc! How about a piece of braided plastic coated wire leader instead of the straw.

Would probably help prevent the twisting but the weight wouldn’t help the floating part
