Just a few dinks

Out a couple hours yesterday and insomnia had me out with a coworker today. I spent 90% of the time trying to get him a few. It didn’t work out for him but I managed a few when he got fixated on a couple at noon that had no interest. I slipped to the next run and got a few casts in. His 80yo+ mom requested a few. The others I released.2F733CA5-056B-417F-A785-77F571995B4A.jpeg3581A7FA-0462-4B86-B039-E637799DAE24.jpegC11A1D8C-2A66-43EF-82F5-AE8E7D8C7911.jpeg603E5B8C-136C-4DD9-A2BD-C2DAAE1CCA8E.jpeg1C9F5649-6925-42BE-B05B-67E19D2603F9.jpeg3B048C26-599A-4A82-B42B-08CD0F323D22.jpeg1761E106-5FD3-49C3-A5E1-3847231A33E4.jpegA5C97430-682B-4089-B7AA-B561344898F0.jpeg

Buddy managed a 10” I think I baited and hooked for him. I did what I could and wanted it for him. The two I kept today where the last run with not much sign or water, he wore out before reaching. I didn’t fish much before that last little run but a few fat ones where waiting under an obstruction to feed.

Gotta spend some time this winter working with magnifying gear to tie leader and casting at Glen. He’s mid-50s and isn’t adapting to well from chartered salt. I told him 4 kids is plenty. I can’t tie and bait (and cast) for everyone lol. He’s a good dude, we’ll figure it out. He’s 2 years or so active to my 4 so hope the curve shortens soon for him like it seems for me.

Z, he managed to break the tip top off my new rod😥😥😥 I really like that one too. I should have better exaggerated breaking snags off without pulling the rod. I suspect that’s what he did. It broke just above the last guide so only a few inches but it hurt.
