Welcome aboard down here in SW no ice yet but hopefully this cold weather coming in brings it.

Frances Slocum shallow side was all locked up on Wed. Shoreline was gone but that may be due to a rise in the lake level. Closest ice to shore was an inch of milky ice and an inch of slush on top. Even the dam side was more than 1/2 locked up.

Depending on this Tuesday storm I think the shallow side will be safe Thursday.

I havent fished it often but never did well at all. Small fish and not many at that. Like Jean. Hope Sylvan caps by Monday and we can get on by the weekend. Lackawanna should be good by late week, Hope Prompton by the weekend too. I hold no hope for FEW now. That up 22 feet and rising

Couldnt get on by the park ramp. I spudded a hole from the handicap dock. 1 to 1.25". Went to the shallow side and wacked a hole along the dock at the concession stand. Almost 2". I stood on the ice along the wall and didnt fall thru lol. Belmont has 5", My buddy couldnt get on Lackawanna, A guy I know of was on Prompton, shore were sketchy due to water level. Reports say Merli about 4", PL coming from Snow Shanty had 3" all the way out. Duck Harbor 3.5 - 4"
