Beat up on Brookies this AM. Once we found them, gold spoons won the day. The one was extra chunky and put up a good fight.

7 little bows today got out of the pit early one picture just so not all of it is a fish tail found out that my 4 ld trilene transoptic is junk after leaving it in my car all winter

Ooo should give the details olive bugger size 8. 1/8 oz tungsten bead gold did have to add 1 bb size split shot because of the water flow good luck

The streak continues! Other than one good Crappie day this year and a freakish encounter with a catfish, this is by far the worst fishing year I’ve ever experienced.

We went to Raritan Bay in pursuit of Stripers today. We found a few pair of fish here and there but I’ve never seen that bay so void of fish in April! The only thing we can figure is that the early wave of fish felt the warmth of the past few days and started heading upstream. With the 3 of us. Not even a single bite! Ugh!

I am however, humbled. I know streaks occur and I also know how fortunate I’ve been in the past. Maybe it’s just the stars aligning. one thing is certain, I’ll keep on trying.

I’m heading out tomorrow with low expectations since it’s a little early for where I’m going and the water is up. You got to start sometime and when your targeting moving fish some times your gonna miss completely and at times your gonna catch a few and sometimes your going to catch a boat load. You just never know but you got to get out to find out. I would think they would be out of the Bay by now.

I'm here lol I was just hibernating So glad we are seeing some warmer weather finally. We got out on the kayaks today and had multiple species.

Actually had an okay day. Okay only because I wasn’t expecting to catch any stripers. We hooked 5 but only boated a 24” and a chunky 25”. I had a big one on but it straightened the split ring and stole my hook. It was a fun 15 minutes while it lasted though. Also saw a 42” caught by another boat. Good fun for sure. Sorry no fish pictures since I stopped taking pictures of fish a couple decades ago. I’m okay if it didn’t happen.

A few guys wanted to try and hand grab the last few. I stayed true the ‘Cat name and snatched out 40 to their 2 lol. Guess I should skip hook/line and use fingers from now on. Seem to catch more that way.
