We all need to meet somewhere!!!

I lagged on responding to this post because I knew this would be taking place around a busy time for me. We took my son back to college yesterday and I have some yard work to do tomorrow (fingers crossed on the weather) and then I am hosting a fantasy football draft here for my neighborhood as well tomorrow.

I do hope everyone has a great time tomorrow and hopefully I can catch you guys on the next one.

No haters here just a fisherman
Just giving you grief, most of you have access to larger cold native creeks. The stocked spot is fun but walking miles of creek with the chance at a native 20” trout is enjoyable in a different way.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. She's doing somewhat better the last day or two. We had covid a few weeks ago and she's got lung damage from it. She also has long term problems with Lyme's and the treatment for the lung damage, kicked the Lyme's into high gear. It's a balancing act between being able to breathe and being able to walk now. She seems to have turned a little bit of a corner the last day or so though so hoping she'll be back on her feet in another week or two.

I got called into work for ot tomorrow though and I can't really turn it down. I'll see what time I get done, but I'd say it's doubtful I'll make it. Hopefully we can do another one when shit isn't as crazy for me and I can get to meet some of you guys.

I forgot Sheila, PA Bass, Ed, HD, Knappy, TS. All of these along with A-5 and any others I've missed. Sunday eve at 3pm for picnic under the pavilion at the lower launch of Mauch Chunk. Pulled Pork, Sloppy Joes or Pizza?

I've got a previously scheduled thing tomorrow but thanks for the invite. Hopefully next time.

We'll add you both to our prayers. I am glad she is doing better, and glad you both survived. Was it corticosteroids that were exacerbating the Lyme's?

I'd have to look, but it's one of the steroids they gave to help heal her lungs. She's had several different treatments over the last couple weeks, but steroids in general inflame her Lyme's. It started right after she came home from the hospital.

Thank you Gremcat and Don for a great time and for introducing us to new waters and new techniques. It was good to meet both of you. Let's do it again soon.
Def was an enjoyable day. I still owe pizza so have to try again soon. Creek was kind of a let down but we scared a few and I got to swim a bit. I’m learning to enjoy lake fishing to it seems.

I had fun. Its not really possible for me to fish in waders so I was thrilled to have some folks join me at on of my favorite Lakes. I would have enjoyed catching fish as well but I guess when Melvin leaves the state the fish go with him. TC and wife I like your reel choices. They were always my favorites for stream and pond fishing. GremCat thanks for showing us how to cut the tangled line off of the beautiful Centerpin. Sorry to all of you that I didn't have a bigger boat but I will some day and for now this does the trick. I cant imagine how fun it would be to have a larger gathering at some point in the future.

Beginners luck,,,, minnows never hurt,

Gotta get TC back out, first time ever being skunked on trout at MC. Even with high pressure all summer and the horde of campers hitting it right before us we should’ve got a couple of the hits to hold a hook for us.

As it turns out this pavilion does not have any tables in it. Just one lone viewing bench facing the water. I don't know what, or even if, the vision is here but I realize we're in contact because of our joint love of fishing. I'd like to know you all better and steel all of your fishing secrets. I realize that a day at a river or lake may not be your standard preference and can potentially cost some free time. I hope we can hone in on a site whereby those that want to fish can and those that want to 'talk gear' can and those that want to nap can nap, lol. All this could culminate in some afternoon grilling and chit chat under a pavilion or canopy somewhere where we can come and go at our leisure. Havng a roof to get under will enable us to remain and socialize comforalbly if it becomes too rainy to fish. It may also encourage more of the spouses to attend... Oct. November, March.
